The 2025 ACM Symposium on Eye Tracking Research & Applications
The ACM Symposium on Eye Tracking Research & Applications (ETRA) is a leading conference focused on the science and technology of eye tracking. It brings together researchers from diverse fields—including computer science, psychology, human-computer interaction, and neuroscience—to share advances in eye movement analysis, gaze-based interaction, and applied methodologies. ETRA plays a central role in shaping the direction of eye tracking research, supporting both foundational studies and real-world applications across academic and industrial domains.
Cognitive School 2025
The fifteenth edition of the Cognitive School was a four-day seminar organized by the Department of Cognitive Psychology of the Institute of Psychology of the Czech Academy of Sciences. It provided space for meetings and discussions between experts in cognitive science and students from related fields. The Cognitive School is held annually at the turn of January and February. It offers expert lectures, student presentations, and opportunities for informal discussions. Over the years, it has become an established educational and discussion platform for young people interested in the study of mind, brain, and behavior.
European Cartographic Conference – EuroCarto 2024
The European Cartographic Conference – EuroCarto 2024 was held in Vienna, Austria from 9 to 11 September 2024 (3 days) at TU Wien. It convened 322 participants from 48 countries for 187 oral and 34 poster presentations across topics including atlas cartography, geovisualization, inclusive and AI‐driven mapping. As the ICA‑endorsed regional conference, it continues a tradition since 2015 of shaping GIScience and cartographic innovation.
Annual Conference of the Czech Geographical Society 2024
The Annual Conference of the Czech Geographical Society was the most important gathering of geography experts in the Czech Republic in 2024. It took place in Ústí nad Labem and carried the subtitle Geography for Just Transitions. The conference also marked the 130th anniversary of the founding of the society’s predecessor and demonstrated that geography is not only a science about landscapes, but also about fair solutions for people and places. The event was not limited to academics, as teachers and professionals from practice also took part, shaping the development of our cities and regions.
