TAČR – Re-education of dyslexia and development of reading skills using eye-tracking

The goal of this project is to develop an interactive automated adaptive software and a battery of intervention tasks for dyslexia re-education and reading skills development. The presented DeveLex system is based on eye movement tracking (eye tracking) and, thanks to an advanced computational module (cognitive modeling), enables real-time adaptation to the current level of the child's abilities, utilizing the principle of the zone of proximal development. The project includes not only an IT solution and a battery for re-education and development of reading skills but also the modification and development of the entire system of care and services in the field of dyslexia intervention. The project aims to create cooperation between psychological counseling centers, library networks, and parents. The project is built on connecting current knowledge from pedagogy, statistics, psychology, optometry, and IT.
