GazeDeck is a proof-of-concept application that brings gaze-based interaction beyond the desktop screen. AprilTag markers placed around a surface (a monitor, a projection wall or a printed map) let mobile eye-tracking glasses (Pupil Neon and Tobii Pro Glasses 3) map gaze onto that surface, and several pairs of glasses can connect at once.

Gaze data are streamed over WebSockets to any web map, which can then be zoomed with gaze gestures, scrolled by looking past its edge, or shared: each person’s gaze appears as a coloured dot and a short dwell sends a ping to the others.

Two people wearing eye-tracking glasses look at a web map on a monitor framed by AprilTag markers, with coloured circles marking their gaze
